Master the business of style. The Fashion Merchandising Minor, offered through Montclair State’s Department of Art and Design, is ideal for students who want to explore the business side of the fashion industry and prepare for careers in fashion retail, wholesale or brand marketing. In just 18 credits, you’ll gain the skills to navigate every stage of the fashion product lifecycle—from importing and buying to branding and distribution.
You’ll also develop marketable business competencies through courses covering advertising, consumer demographics, trend forecasting and retail operations, including family-run businesses and franchise models. This well-rounded approach ensures you graduate ready to thrive in the fast-paced world of fashion business.
