Indigenous Peoples Day Event
10/10 @ 4 PM: Red Blanket Singers & Dance Event

Come join the Red Blanket Singers of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribe of NJ for a celebration of Indigenous culture and survivance through traditional dancing, drumming, and songs.

President Jonathan Koppell will be offering words of welcome. Recent MSU alum & Nanticoke member Brianna Dagostino will share reflections on the meaning and significance of Indigenous Peoples Day.

The event will take place on the Quad from 4:00-5:30 PM.
In the event of rain, we'll meet in University Hall 7th floor.

This event marks the launch of MSU's new Native American & Indigenous Studies Program (Minor). We'll also be celebrating the formal adoption of MSU's Native Land Acknowledgement, the first of its kind among NJ colleges and universities.

Sponsors include: The Provost's Office; CHSS Dean's Office; NAIS; ANTH; HIST; RELG; LING; World Languages & Cultures; Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education Project.
