'Critical Thinking' is a well-worn buzzword - everyone claims to want it, use it, teach it.  But, what exactly *is* it?  How is it different from "problem solving", or "being intelligent", or wisdom?  Is it something that is teachable, and are our educational institutions doing so?  This week, we'll discuss one definition or vision of this type of thinking, and ask how well we're currently doing at fostering this (allegedly) enormously valuable type of thinking.
