Milton Ohring was born in Stryj, Poland and graduated from the High School of Music and Art in New York. He obtained a doctorate in metallurgical engineering from Columbia University. Following his retirement from the Stevens Institute of Technology as Professor of Metallurgy and Materials Science, he returned to his first love – art.
