New Jersey Play Therapy Association 3rd Annual Conference
"Neurobiology of Play Therapy: How to improve your practice"
Guest speaker: Richard L. Gaskill, EdD, LPC, LCP, IMHIV, RPTS
Targeted audiences: Play therapists, mental health clinicians that work with children, graduate students of psychology, social work, and counseling.
Educational goals and specific learning objectives oftrhe course:
- Participants will be able to list the six R's of trauma sensitive treatment
- Participants will be able to describe the relational function of each R
- Participants will be able to explain the concept of bottom up therapeutic approaches
- Participants will be able to utilize a sequential treatment protocol
- Participants will create a clinical example of how each R could be implemented
- Participants will discuss how each major brain level is impacted by the six R's
Fees include continuing education units, light refreshments and a box lunch. Cancellations/refunds up to 7 days before event.
