MICHAEL JABLOW "THE CONTENDER"

Michael Jablow is an American editor who began his career in the 1970’s. His first project, Wednesday, was released in 1974. Initially, Jablow began as an assistant in the editorial department for Joseph Brooks’ film, “You Light Up My Life.” He also edited, “The Naked Gun: Part One”. In 1992, Jablow was the editor of another comic caper Boomerang with Eddie Murphy as the protagonist. Upon the release of Boomerang, it received mixed reviews where the fans termed the flick as predictable and enjoyable one. In 2003, Jablow was involved in a high-profile project as he revised the draft of Todd Phillips’ Old School.Jablow’s filmography includes “The Perfect Match,” “Copper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life,” “For Better or Worse,” “Little Big League,” “When the Bough Breaks,” “The Magnificent Room,” and “Christmas in Connecticut.” In 2001, Jablow got an Emmy Nomination, but could not win it though. American Cinema Editors had nominated Jablow twice for the Eddie Award. On 4th August, 2013, Michael Jablow visited Shanghai Open University where he advised the students to know the difference between editing and directing a video.
