The MSU Cali School of Music announces an Important Educational Partnership with Christian McBride from Jazz House Kids next Wednesday, NOV 4 AT 6:30 PM.
Christian McBride, The 6-time Grammy Award winning bassist, band-leader and Jazz House Kids Artistic Chair welcomes all improvising musicians to his [iNSiDE] THE JAZZ NOTE Guest Artist Series masterclass. Students will have the opportunity to perform for Christian as well as get real-life tips and insights.As an honored partner in this presentation, Oscar Perez, jazz pianist and Cali School of Music Jazz Studies Coordinator will also be available for questions. Oscar has played in the musical groups of Phoebe Snow, Wycliffe Gordon, Christian McBride, Charenee Wade, Dave Stryker, Steve Turre, Eddie Allen and Don Braden. He has been an educator through Carnegie Hall, the Kupferberg Center at Queens College and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
