Title: An Introduction to the Basic Concepts of Quantum Computing

Abstract:
Dr. Schnetzer will give an introduction to quantum computing by first reviewing the basic features of qubits, superposition, entanglement, and measurement. We will discuss quantum gates, quantum circuits, and using the IBM framework Qiskit, followed by a demonstration on how to compose and run quantum circuits on an IBM quantum computer. Finally, use of the example of a Bell pair producer circuit, and if time permits, also the quantum teleportation circuit.
