The Discovery Program is a dynamic, comprehensive program designed to help you select the major that is the right fit for you. From application to Montclair to declaration into your future major, the Discovery Program will serve as your exploration roadmap guiding you every step of the way.
Your Academic Advisor will help guide you through academic exploration and act as your liaison to the many programs, organizations, and opportunities available at Montclair State University. Exploratory students in the Discovery Program can opt to meet with their Academic Advisor in-person or online (via virtual appointments) by connecting with us, or scheduling an advising appointment on Navigate.
With over 300 majors, minors and programs to choose from, knowing where to start your journey of academic exploration at Montclair may feel overwhelming, but it does not have to be. We know that every student explores differently, and we are here to guide you through all that the University has to offer.
