We offer a wide array of programs and events throughout the year to help you further explore all of Montclair’s different academic options, in collaboration with all of the Colleges and Schools. Signature experiences like Crash-A-Class let you “crash” real courses to see what life inside a specific major is actually like, while our Skills for Success Workshops help you build the personal and professional skills that will set you apart during your time at the University and beyond. Exploring careers can make choosing a major feel a lot clearer. By attending career-focused events and workshops, you can start narrowing in on what excites you or sparks curiosity. Connecting with Career Services early also gives you a head start on internships, networking and future job searches, so you’re building momentum from day one. - Exploratory Courses for Each Major
Taking introductory courses across the different Colleges and Schools can help you see how your interests and strengths connect to a potential major. Talk with your Academic Advisor about which classes are great for exploration and how they align with your academic goals.- Keep in mind that not every elective will fulfill degree requirements for the program you ultimately choose.
