Classics Day 2014

"Cerberus," the three-headed hound!

The Institute for the Humanities’ Classics Day 2014 — the twenty-fifth since the first Classics Day was held in 1990! — was held on Friday, October 31, 2014 this year.  As it happened to take place on Halloween, Roman costume was strongly encouraged.  Participants were challenged to consult their alter ego and came dressed in the guise of numerous different Roman or mythological personae!  Winners of the competition (Latin grammar, classical Mythology, Roman civilization) were Ridgewood High School (first place), Ridge High School (second place), and Watchung Hills Regional High School (third place).  Congratulations to all!
