“Hands-On” Cultural History

Posted in: Institute for the Humanities

On Friday, May 4, 2024, high school teachers are invited to participate in a workshop (earning 4 professional development credits in so doing) sponsored by the Institute for the Humanities at Montclair State University in collaboration with the University’s Oral History Project (HOLA).

Presentations led by faculty from the departments of Sociology, Spanish and Latino Studies, and Teaching and Learning at Montclair State University, as well as a presentation led by guest Melissa Ziobro, Director of Public History at Monmouth University, NJ, will provide teachers in a whole range of areas — from World Languages to Social Studies to English — with a wealth of ideas for incorporating a live and personal dimension into what they teach.

For registration complete the registration form (link below), and for further information contact Victoria Larson, Director, Institute for the Humanities, larsonv@mail.montclair.edu, (973) 655-7509.
