Dr. Natascia Boeri is an Associate Professor of Sociology who specializes in gender, work, and social policy. Her current research focuses on mothers who use opioids and the barriers they face in accessing health and social services. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the American Association of University Women.
Dr. Boeri was selected as a 2024–2025 Civic Engagement and Voting Rights Teacher Scholar at Clemson University. The teaching materials she developed as part of this program can be found at https://open.clemson.edu/boeri
She is an active member of Sociologists for Women in Society (SWS) and has represented the organization as a delegate to the United Nations on multiple occasions. Dr. Boeri’s teaching emphasizes experiential learning, and she is a dedicated advocate for undergraduate research and civic engagement.
