Dr. Brown, a full-time Instructional Specialist at Montclair State University, taught for many years in NYU's Expository Writing Program, as well as in the General Studies Program of its School of Continuing and Professional Studies; she has also tutored in the NYU Writing Center. In addition, she has taught Contemporary and African American Literature at Muhlenberg College. Her book, They Know Us Better Than We Know Ourselves: The History and Politics of Alien Abduction was published by NYU Press in 2007.
