Samantha Coyle, Assistant Professor, received a PhD in School Psychology from Northern Illinois University. Her research investigates risk and protective factors that impact student social, emotional, academic and behavioral functioning. Specically her research focuses on the role of socially support relationships and internalizing symptomology in adolescents and the stress buffering role of social support for youth experiencing stressors, including bullying and victimization. Her work also explores factors related to students' perceptions of the school climate and school safety. Dr. Coyle teaches courses including PSYC 574: Cognitive Assessment and PSYC 202: Adolescent Psychology.
