Profile

Gai Grannon has been an Instructional Specialist in the Fundamentals of Speech program for the School of Communication and Media at MSU since 2015. She teaches numerous sections of Fundamentals of Speech each semester, both regular term length and 3 week accelerated versions, and is a consultant for the MSU Public Speaking Resource Center. From 1999 to 2015, Gai was an Adjunct Professor at MSU, teaching Fundamentals of Speech during the Fall, Spring and Summer terms. She has also taught a public speaking course at Ramapo College, and several acting courses at the University of Michigan. During the 1990’s and early 2000's, Ms. Grannon directed numerous high school musicals, working with students solo and in groups on many aspects of delivery and performance. She has privately coached several corporate executive clients; a recent client was the keynote speaker at a national strategic summit for the Direct Marketing Association. She also works as a voice over artist, and is well versed in utilizing a variety of vocal and physical delivery techniques.
