Sharon Hockstein (she, her) received her training at the American Ballet Theatre School, the School of American Ballet, and other prestigious New York City schools. She worked as a dancer and lecturer for the New York City Ballet Education Department, dancing for and educating students all over the NY/NJ/CT area. She danced professionally with the New York City Ballet, performing works by George Balanchine, Peter Martins, Jerome Robbins, and other choreographers, dancing at Lincoln Center and touring with the company.
Sharon has always loved sharing her passion for ballet. She has been an Adjunct Instructor at Montclair State University since 2016, and has also taught at Marymount Manhattan College. She has been on faculty and a guest teacher and choreographer at various schools and summer intensive programs in New York and New Jersey.
