I have taught at MSU since 2009. I currently teach fiction writing (intro and intermediate).
My short stories have appeared or are forthcoming in Glimmer Train, Colorado Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Pleiades, StoryQuarterly, Green Mountains Review, Ascent, upstreet, and elsewhere. I was awarded the 2013 Rona Jaffe-Bread Loaf scholarship in fiction and first place in Glimmer Train's Fiction Open Contest. I served on the Bread Loaf Admissions Board in 2014 and 2015.
