I obtained my bachelor’s degree in English and American literature. I earned my master’s degree in Sociology in 1991 and doctorate in Sociology in 1996 with the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I teach SOC 102 (Racial and Ethnic Relations) and SOC 104 (Sociology of the Family) here at Montclair State University. I love teaching both on campus and online courses. I was invited by the League for Innovation in the Community College to attend national conferences and make presentations on online teaching. I was awarded a Quality Matters Training Certificate and a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer Certificate, which certify the quality of online courses and online components.
