Dr. Larson is professor of Classics and Humanities, with a special interest in Latin Literature, classical reception, the classical tradition, eighteenth- and nineteenth-century epistolography, life-writing, and travel-writing. She is Deputy Chair of the Department of Classics and Humanities and Director of the Institute for the Humanities at Montclair State University.

Specialization

Areas of specialization include the dramatic and philosophical writings of Seneca the Younger, rhetoric, classical tradition and reception (especially at they relate to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries), and the critical theory of life- and travel writing.
