Profile
Jazmine Thompson is the Associate Director of the First-Year Writing Program. She holds an MBA in Media Management from Metropolitan College of New York, an MAT in Secondary English Education from Relay Graduate School of Education, and a BA in English Literature with a concentration in Multicultural U.S. and British Literature from SUNY College at Old Westbury.
Her teaching experience includes college composition, as well as middle school English in Harlem, the Bronx, and Newark.
Her interests include the historical development of K–12 education systems and educational equity, as well as how both shape college success outcomes.
