Profile
Dr. Wang is currently a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Director of the Collaborative Robotics and Smart Systems Laboratory (CRoSS Lab) at Montclair State University. His research focuses on collaborative robotics, smart systems, and their synergistic CRoSS-disciplinary applications in smart manufacturing, healthcare, aerospace, intelligent transportation, sustainable energy, smart agriculture, daily assistance, and interactive learning. Dr. Wang is the recipient of NSF CISE Research Initiation Initiative (CRII) Award and NSF Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Award. The results of his work have been published in multiple peer-reviewed international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He received IEEE IEMTRONICS Best Paper Award and ASME Dynamic Systems and Control Conference Robotics TC Best Paper Award. Dr. Wang is enthusiastic about STEM education and organizes numerous education and outreach programs for K-12, undergraduate, and graduate students. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, and ASME.
