Profile
Laura Yang is an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychology at Montclair State University. Her background is in Industrial Organizational Psychology with an emphasis on Occupational Health Psychology. Her current research interests include employee health and well-being, recovery from work, and emotions and emotional labor of workers in the workplace. Her research also centers on Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) workers and second-generation immigrant workers.
Laura graduated Cum Laude from Arcadia University in 2018 with a B.A. in Psychology and received her M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Montclair State University in 2021. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Applied Industrial Organizational Psychology at Portland State University. After graduating, Laura plans to continue a career in academia.
She is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Society for Occupational Health Psychology (SOHP), American Psychological Association (APA), Asians in I/O, and various other societies and organizations.
Specialization
I specialize in Industrial Organizational Psychology with an emphasis on Occupational Health Psychology. My research focus is on employee health and well-being, recovery from work, and moods/emotions of workers in the workplace. My research also centers on Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) workers and second-generation immigrant workers.
