Marshal Chaifetz is the Grants Manager for the College of Education and Human Services at Montclair State University. Prior to joining Montclair State, he spent seven years at Kennesaw State University as a Clinical Associate Professor of Public Administration and Law in the School of Government and International Affairs and four and a half years as the Grants and Contracts Coordinator for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. He spent nine years as the Director of the Upward Bound program at Indiana University – Bloomington. During his time at the Law School Admission Council in Newtown, Pennsylvania, he made site visits to over 50 law schools in the US and Canada. He has served as a Panel Coordinator, Facilitator and Grant Reviewer for multiple federal agencies (Corporation for National and Community Service, US Department of Agriculture, US Department of Education, US Department of Health and Human Services, Veterans Administration) for over 25 years, participating in over 100 grant reviews. He has taught graduate courses on grant writing and development and authored federal grants totaling over $2 million.
