Cognitive science is the interdisciplinary study of mind and intelligence. It uses the methods of computer science, linguistics, communication sciences, philosophy, and psychology to examine how the mind carries out intelligent behaviors such as: understanding, speaking, planning, creating, reasoning, and problem solving.

Minor in Cognitive Science

The Minor in Cognitive Science uses the methods of computer science, linguistics, communication sciences, philosophy, and psychology to examine how the mind carries out intelligent behaviors. The minor combines three required courses and three corresponding electives for a total of 20 credits.
