You will also analyze materials and events from popular culture and socio-political policy and action.
The interdisciplinary minor is open to students of any major. Research, analyze and discuss topics that go straight to the heart of the matter – with classes such as Hate Crimes, Sociology of Gender, and Queer Identities in a Transforming World: The Trouble with Normal.
The program’s courses draw from a range of disciplines including Anthropology; Health; Sociology; Psychology; English; Justice Studies; Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies; and Humanities, giving you the flexibility to pursue your individual interests and goals. By fostering a better understanding of the complexities of gender, sexuality and sexual identities, the minor in Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Studies will enrich your educational and personal journeys.
