Research writing bootcamp pop-up
In this 3-hour Zoom session, researchers are invited to come together to work on their solo scholarly projects. The idea here is that many researchers have trouble prioritizing and making time for research. For many, teaching comes first too much of the time, and scholarly goals get short-shrift. By carving out time, committing to it, researchers who struggle for time, make time. We come together, close email and other distractions, and work silently.
Faculty are welcome to commit to the full 3 hours or whatever works. Schedule:
12:45: Arrive and chat, focus
1:00: 50 minute writing session
1:50: 10 minute break
2:00: 50 minute writing session
2:50: 10 minute break
3:00: 30 minute writing session
3:30: wrap up
Faculty who are interested in coming in person to work in their own space or in the library in on of several spots we have reserved should contact Emily Isaacs by 10 am on Thursday, October 21st. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.
