The Office of Government Relations provides strategic direction and leadership in promoting relations within state and federal government on behalf of the University. Giving direct support to the President to advance the University’s objectives and planning initiatives, the Office of Government Relations also plays a role in policy development and planning processes, monitors legislation and regulations that pertain to higher education, identifies federal and state fiscal resources, and assists with coordinating any advocacy or grassroots engagement. The Office of Government Relations acts as the University’s liaison and primary point of contact with elected and appointed officials and staff, and seeks opportunities to collaborate with government agencies and external organizations to advance Montclair State’s capabilities and help meet the critical needs of the region and State of New Jersey.
