Build & Broaden Conference: Long-Term Impacts of Covid-19 on Latino Communities in the Tri-State Area
We hosted the Build and Broaden Conference (funded by the the National Science Foundation) at Montclair State University, entitled, Build & Broaden Conference: Long-Term Impacts of Covid-19 on Latino Communities in the Tri-State Area on August 15-17, 2021. Thank you to all participants, speakers, and presenters.
Conference Overview
The themes of this conference included health disparities, community structures, and educational processes.
In addition to serving as a forum to present timely research on this critical topic, the conference also had the priority goal of providing a forum to intentionally connect and support faculty/scholars/researchers from HSIs.
The conference included a keynote on the first day followed by a welcome reception for presenters. Day two featured panels of scholars from multiple disciplines along with poster sessions. The third day included panels of scholars, policymakers, and community partners, followed by workshops.
This was an exhilarating opportunity to start building a network of scholars that can collaborate in research, advance knowledge, and support each other.
