As our enrollment grows, so does the impact of off-campus student spending on state and local economies. In FY 2015:

  • Our more than 20,000 students directly spent $168 million off-campus at restaurants, shops and other venues.
  • Student spending generated an additional $80 million in total output, and supported 760 jobs and $30 million in earnings within New Jersey.
  • In the Essex/Passaic region, student spending of $36 million generated $56 million in total output and supported 540 jobs and $22 million in earnings.
