University Conference Center Receives Prestigious Recognition

Unique Venues Magazine has selected the Conference Center at Montclair State University as the “Best Conference Center to Get Down to Business.”

Set on the seventh floor of the campus’ University Hall, the Conference Center offers panoramic views of the New York City skyline, while providing event hosts with an array of flexible meeting and event options. The Center’s 6,300 square feet can accommodate up to 500 guests in its ballroom, while more intimate gatherings can be held in its board room, lecture halls and theaters.

“One of our most amazing features is our unique location with breathtaking views of the New York City skyline,” says Kaitlin Kurdyla, the associate director of the Conference Center. Easy access to the city, which is just 15 miles away, via regularly scheduled trains and buses, makes it an ideal venue for everything from business conferences to parties. Plentiful parking and onsite food service options appeal to event planners looking for a total package.

“We pride ourselves on our price transparency, which includes a flat rate for setup, breakdown, housekeeping, A/V, as well as a technician and site supervisor,” Kurdyla explains. The Conference Center has hosted events for corporate clients such as Apple and Verizon. It has also welcomed viewers of the popular soap opera General Hospital for a fan meet and greet.
