Montclair State University has once again been recognized as having one of the top education programs by U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings, moving up to No. 89 in the publication’s 2019 “Best Education Schools.”

The University’s graduate program has steadily climbed among private and public universities over the past five years. “The latest rankings reflect our deep commitment to quality in the field of education,” says Tamara Lucas, dean of the University’s College of Education and Human Services.

U.S. News weighs factors such as faculty resources, reputation, student selectivity and research activity to rank the top graduate education schools. Montclair State moved up from No. 93 a year ago and is one of only two New Jersey institutions nationally ranked on this closely watched “best schools” list.

“This is a testament to the important work of our nationally recognized scholars and the high quality of our doctoral and master’s programs,” Lucas says.
