New York Red Bulls to Host U.S. Open Cup at MSU Soccer Park

Since the team made MSU Soccer Park home in 2017, soccer fans from the University and the surrounding communities have joined forces as fans of the Red Bulls II, the reserve team of Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls and a member of the United Soccer League. Having a professional club on campus has provided spectators with an unusual opportunity to view the game played at a high level in an intimate setting. The partnership has been a win/win, giving fans an unprecedented opportunity to get to know the players while building a loyal fan base for the team. It has launched a mutual love affair that keeps growing bigger and stronger.

Next week, on Tuesday, June 11, things will get even more exciting when the New York Red Bulls host the New England Revolution in the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

This will be the fifth time New York and New England meet in the Open Cup and the first time such a high-profile soccer event takes place at the newly renovated MSU Soccer Park.
