Take the first step toward becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with Montclair State University’s Pre-Dietetics Certificate Program (formerly the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or AND Certificate). Designed for students pursuing a career in nutrition and dietetics, this program provides up to 84 credits in the sciences, nutrition and food studies needed to advance to graduate-level dietetics training.
Graduates of the Pre-Dietetics Certificate Program who complete 83–84 semester hours with a minimum 3.2 GPA will be eligible to apply for the M.S. in Nutrition and Food Science – Dietetics Concentration, launching Fall 2026. This graduate program (GP) is in the pre-candidacy process for ACEND accreditation, with applications opening upon successful completion of accreditation requirements.
