Your Login Just Got a Glow-Up
Posted in: News
If you’ve been using text messages or phone calls to verify your login with Duo, it’s time to make the switch to something easier and safer: Duo Push using the Duo Mobile app.
We’re not forcing a change, but we are encouraging everyone to start using the app instead of phone or text. It’s more secure, more reliable and just plain simpler.
Make the Switch to Duo Push
Already using Duo Push? Nice – you’re all set!
If not, keep an eye on your inbox. On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, you should have received an email from Duo Security with a link to get started. Just follow the steps on your phone or tablet to finish setup.
Once you’re set up, you’ll still get a login code – but now it’ll show up instantly in the app. No waiting, no missed calls, no weak links.
Why the push for Push?
SMS and phone calls can be intercepted or spoofed. The Duo Mobile app is way more secure and works even when your signal is spotty (perfect for travel, too.) Plus, it’s quick and easy!
Why is Duo Mobile better:
- Reliable: No more delay or failed logins when you don’t have service. Duo Mobile works even if you’re on wifi. (Works for international traveling too!)
- Secure: App-based codes are harder to intercept or fake than texts or phone calls.
- Your Duo code = your toothbrush. Don’t be gross and share it.
- Always available: As long as you have your phone, you have your code.
How to prepare:
Please download the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone or device ahead of time:
