Profile
Dr. Carrie Hamilton received her B.A. in Art History and History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She then specialized in European art of the 17th through 19th centuries at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, where she received an M.A., a Certificate in Curatorial Studies, and a Ph.D. At Montclair State University, she has taught survey courses as well as upper level ones on European and American art of the 17th through 19th centuries and Museum Practice. She is the recipient of the university’s Professing Excellence Award for Meaningful Impact and has been nominated for the Outstanding Advising Award.
