Veronica is a doctoral student in the Family Studies doctoral program at Montclair State University.  She joined the lab in the summer of 2013. She enjoys road tripping, cooking, and reading. Something many people don’t know about Veronica is that she loves working on cars. The coolest place she has traveled to is Puerto Rico’s Bioluminescent Bays.

A faculty member in Family and Child Studies, Dr. Jon Caspi, directed Veronica to the REDSS lab because she was interested in youth programs and program evaluation. Veronica is able to pursue these interests in the REDSS Lab.

When asked about her experience in the lab, Veronica said, “I would say I have been able to accomplish what I had hoped because I am comfortable doing evaluation work as well as learning how to create strong youth programs.”

When asked about her favorite aspect of working in the lab, she said, “I enjoy the collaboration with other lab members and the conference participation.”

For students who may be interested in participating in the REDSS Lab, Veronica recommends discussing your aims for participating in the lab with the directors as well as other lab members.  See the “bios” section of the website for names of all current lab members.

Thanks for sharing, Veronica – more interviews to come!
