Lauren is currently a postdoctoral research associate for the Boy Scouts of America project at the RYTE Institute. She earned her MS and PhD from West Virginia University’s Life-Span Developmental Psychology program, with an emphasis on advanced quantitative analyses, and her BA from the University of Alabama. Lauren’s research aims to gain a deeper understanding of the processes through which adolescents’ interactions with their social world can lead to positive social change and provide youth with developmental skills and resources that enhance personal health, well-being, and thriving. Her research interests include youth civic engagement, critical consciousness, social inequality, and the health and well-being of racially marginalized youth.

Patricia Tevington

- Her research focuses on young people and the transition to adulthood, as well as social class and inequality, family life, and sociology of religion.
Dr. Tevington serves as a postdoctoral research associate in the Institute for Research on Youth Thriving and Evaluation (RYTE) at Montclair State University. She received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from The College of New Jersey and her MA and PhD in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania
