In October, WMSC 90.3 FM earned three national awards from CBI, including first place honors for Best Audio Special Broadcast (“The Nightmare Before World College Radio Day”) and Best Audio Promo (“Tunes on Tuesdays”).

“It is an honor to serve in this position and lead an organization that is so important to current and future communication and media students,” Poland said. “I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to advocating for my students at Montclair State and all over the country.”

In 2016, Poland was awarded the “Meaningful Impact Award” at Montclair State University’s Professing Excellence Awards.

Before joining Montclair State University, she was the Director of Talent & Industry Relations at SiriusXM Radio where she negotiated and managed interviews, events and performances with A-level Hollywood actors, celebrities and musicians for more than 135 SiriusXM channels. Prior to joining SiriusXM, she was a Segment Producer at ABC News Good Morning America where she booked and produced breaking news, cultural stories, entertainment and the summer concert series.
