Local Field Experiences
We highly recommend taking students on well planned field trips to local natural areas, in order to engage their interesting science, and to stimulate learning through the modalities used by Gardner's eighth multiple intelligence, the "Naturalist Intelligence". For schools in northern New Jersey, the following list of sites offers a great variety of habitats with well-versed guides who can help teachers plan their trip.
