If you’re ready to lead in a data-driven world, Montclair’s MBA/MSBA dual degree program gives you the best of both worlds. You’ll learn how to think like a business strategist and analyze like a data scientist – so you can make smarter, faster decisions that drive results.

In this integrated dual degree, you’ll build the foundation of Montclair’s excellent MBA program while simultaneously mastering the tools and techniques of the MS in Business Analytics (MSBA). That means you’ll be developing your leadership, management, and communication skills at the same time you’re learning to work with data analytics tools like Python, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Use data to guide key business decisions
  • Understand statistical analysis, data visualization, machine learning, and AI
  • Combine strategic thinking with analytical insight to solve real-world business problems

Choose Your Format

Find the path that fits your lifestyle and goals. Whether you want the flexibility of learning from anywhere or the energy of in-person collaboration, Montclair gives you options to earn your dual degree on your own terms.

Online (Part-time)

Earn your MBA/MSBA entirely online through a flexible, part-time format designed for working professionals. You’ll take classes from expert faculty, collaborate virtually with your peers, and apply what you learn to your career in real time. The program can be completed in less than 3 years or as little as nine semesters, allowing you to balance your studies with work and personal commitments. (Note: F1/J1 visa–seeking students are not eligible for this modality.)

Hybrid (Full-time)

Prefer a mix of in-person and online learning? The hybrid option offers the best of both worlds – on-campus classes for networking and collaboration, paired with online coursework for convenience. This full-time format lets you complete both degrees in less than 3 years or in just eight semesters, so you can fast-track your education while still maintaining flexibility.

Admission Requirements

  • Equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree.
  • Applicants with non-U.S. degrees: Please visit the international applicants page to review U.S. degree equivalency information.
  • Newly Accepted students to this program are required to successfully complete an online Basic Statistics Foundation Module prior to beginning the program and registering for program courses. The Basic Statistics Module is an online self-paced module (which you can anticipate will take 25-30 hours to complete) that serves to renew and/or update statistics knowledge in order to be prepared and successful in your program.

Application Checklist

Application Deadline: Rolling Admission (Fall Only). Applications must be completed two weeks prior to the first day of the semester, and you can expect to receive a decision within 14 business days.

  • Online Application: Submit application and $60 non-refundable fee (or waiver if applicable).
  • Transcript: One from each college attended.
  • Essays/Personal Statement: Please write an integrated essay providing a response to each of the following questions, using specific examples of relevant coursework and/or experience:
    • What are your goals for graduate study and your future career?
    • In what ways do your academic background and your professional experiences provide evidence of your potential for success in the program you selected and in your eventual career?
    • Is there any further information we should consider in assessing your candidacy?
  • Letters of Recommendation: Two.
  • Resume: Required
