We aim to prepare students with a solid conceptual understanding of the function of HR, along with insight into global teams, talent management, and analytics.

You may begin the certificate in October, May, June or January. There may also be additional starts available, please contact the MBA & Graduate Programs Office at gradbusiness@montclair.edu for more information.

Human Resources Management Career

Virtually all businesses and organizations require human resource management (HRM). Beyond staying abreast of changing employment laws and insurance policies, HR professionals play a strategic role in developing and executing organizational goals. They serve as liaisons between management and employees by acting as   employees’ advocates. Trained HRM personnel can specialize in a variety of functions, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Retention, Employee Relations, Coaching, and Data Analysis. Seasoned professionals act as Directors of large-scale HR programs and make a measurable impact on the quality of working life for employees.
