Forward Thinking

The Fall 2018 edition of Montclair State’s award-winning Forward Thinking research newsletter highlights some of the important research being conducted by the University faculty and students, including contributions to the understanding of how Antarctic ice melt might forecast global sea level rise and developments in the war against antibiotic resistance.

In this issue you’ll also read about research exploring how school choice – and other changes in policies and practice – can best be used to support the varied and complex needs of students from historically marginalized populations.

Other highlights of this issue include how Middle School students can better understand textbook graphs that depict information about two or more covarying quantities; how protein aggregates play a role in Alzheimer’s disease; and how school districts can work to retain new science teachers. You will also learn about the high-tech features housed in the University’s newly opened Center for Computing and Information Science.
