Overview

The Department of Kinesiology provides preparation through academic programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Our theoretical, technological, research, exercise science, athletic training, physical education, sport administration, and coaching courses cater to the needs of educational and corporate organizations. The faculty and staff deliver a high-quality, professional education in a nurturing environment for our student body.

Undergraduate students gain knowledge and skills through our nationally recognized CAPE-accredited Physical Education and Health certification program for grades P-12, as well as our innovative CAAHEP-accredited Exercise Science program, which includes internships with major sports industries in the New York City metropolitan area.

Graduate students can learn in dynamic and challenging professional preparation programs and pursue advanced studies in the field. The MS in Athletic Training, a CAATE-certified Education program, provides a high-quality, state-of-the-art educational program consistent with the professional and ethical requirements of the athletic training profession. The graduate program in Kinesiology offers students the opportunity to engage in advanced study in the field of human movement science and to enhance proficiency in several areas of concentration. The program offers concentrations in Exercise and Sport Science and Sport Administration.
