As part of our ongoing effort to keep your information safe, we want to remind you about the Phish Alert Button (PAB)—a quick and easy way to report suspicious emails directly to our Information Security team. Whether you’re a newly admitted student or you’ve seen this before, it’s important to stay alert and know how to protect yourself from phishing and scams that target college students.
Please Note: If you have already enabled the Knowbe4 PAB you can disregard this communication.
Why Use the PAB?
- Stop Scams Fast – Report phishing emails instantly so we can investigate and block them

How to Enable
- Check Your Email – On Wednesday, September 17, 2025 you will receive an email titled, Gmail Phish Alert Add-on Activation
- Turn the Key – Enter the Manual Registration Key into the PAB license box
- Hit Activate – You’re all set! Let’s stop these scammers together!

How to Use It
- Tap the Hook – Once you’ve opened a suspicious email, click the hook on the right side of your inbox
- The email will be forwarded to the Information Security team for analysis
- If anything is found to be nefarious you will be alerted!
Please refrain from using the KnowBe4 PAB button to report non-suspicious emails or spam, as it is intended solely for reporting phishing attempts.
