| Research/Interests — Mr. John Davis has been at the helm of athletic training services for Intercollegiate Athletics at Montclair State University since 1984. In addition to a very full schedule preventing and managing athletic injury and illness for 17 intercollegiate teams as Head Athletic Trainer, Mr. Davis has demonstrated a very strong commitment to the profession. He currently is the President-Elect of the Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association (EATA). He has previously served as the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) District II secretary, EATA Secretary/Treasurer, Northern Representative to the Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey, and is a past president of the State organization. He was selected as an athletic trainer to the 1988 International Para Olympic Games. In 2005, he was the first recipient of the Eastern College Athletic Conference's Dr. Donald Grover Memorial Award which is bestowed to an athletic trainer of an ECAC member institution who has achieved outstanding success in his career and made a significant contribution to intercollegiate athletics. Mr. Davis has been inducted into the Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey Hall of Fame. Montclair State University honored Mr Davis in 2010 by dedicating its athletic training facility as the John Davis and Dr. M. Benjamin Burton Athletic Training and Sports Medicine Center. | |||||

| Cindy Dormann Assistant Athletic Trainer | |||||

| Research/Interests — Ms. Dormann has been the assistant athletic trainer at MSU since 1993. Ms. Dormann graduated magna cum laude from MSU in 1992 where she was a two sport athlete. She has since been a clinician in the clinical and secondary school settings as well as with the New Jersey Imperials, a regional soccer league. | |||||

| Joseph M. Savoia Assistant Athletic Trainer | |||||
| Education — B.A., Kean University - Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training; M.S., Kean University - Exercise Science/Concentration in Exercise Physiology | |||||
| Research/Interests — Mr. Savoia joined MSU as an assistant athletic trainer in the summer of 2005. Previously, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Kean University where he received a Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology. Mr. Savoia did extensive graduate research in isokinetics, with a research interest in the relationship between muscle strength and knee pathologies. He has worked in many different settings in the athletic training profession including an undergraduate assignment with the New York Giants Professional Football Club during the 2002-2003 season. Mr. Savoia was also the 2003 recipient of the Richard Malacrea Scholarship Award. | |||||
