Center for Translation and Interpreting
Welcome to the page of the Center for Translation and Interpreting, affiliated with the departments of Modern Languages and Literatures, Spanish and Italian, Linguistics, and Classics and General Humanities.
The Center is devoted to the promotion of translation and interpreting as a result of a rapidly growing demand for translators and interpreters, which are among the fastest growing occupations in the United States (Bureau of Labor Statistics 2014). As a matter of fact the number of translators and interpreters is projected to grow 46 percent to 92,900 by 2022.
Please contact Dr. Laurence Jay-Rayon, Director of the Center for Translation and Interpreting, for any question you might have involving translation or interpreting.
