Educational Leadership

The Department of Educational Leadership includes Master of Arts (M.A.) and certification programs for aspiring leaders and administrators in both PK-12 and Higher Education settings.

The MA Higher Education provides graduate students with the knowledge and skills needed to take on leadership positions with higher education organizations, such as student affairs, academic affairs, and college and university administration.

In the NCATE-accredited MA in Educational Leadership program, which focused on PK-12 aspiring leaders, eligible students can obtain a standard Supervisors Certificate as well as a Principal Certificate of Eligibility. For students already holding a master’s degree, the program offers advanced certifications in the areas of supervisor, principal and director of school counseling. In addition, the program offers the opportunity for an additional internship to qualify the student to obtain the School Administrator Certificate of Eligibility. The Master of Arts in Educational Leadership is offered in multiple formats, including our flexible Core Choice program, the Fast Track option that allows students to earn a 36-credit degree and principal and supervisor certification in 14 months, the fully online program, and off-site programs within New Jersey.
