Arts and Cultural Programming
The School of the Art's Division of Art and Cultural Programming presents and produces performances at Montclair State University year round. The Division operates the university's performing arts facilities, comprised of six venues: Memorial Auditorium (1,000 seats), Kasser Theatre (500 seats), Fox Studio Theatre (100-200 seats), University Amphitheatre (2000 seats), Dance Recital Hall (175 seats), and McEachern Music Recital Hall (175 seats). With an emphasis on unique programming, the Division seeks productions and original performance concepts from around the nation and the world, attracting audiences from the campus and the region. MSU's academic programs are supported through professional advisement, technical assistance, and marketing. In all disciplines, performance groups in the surrounding communities are supported through rental of performance venues, technicians, and equipment. Through these means, the Division is committed to enhancing the cultural life of the university campus and the broader community, as well as furthering opportunities for educational excellence.
