The University Police Headquarters is responsible for the safety of the members of the University community, for protection of State facilities and for parking and traffic enforcement.  This is a full-fledged police department that is always open.

An on-campus Escort Service is available to provide a safe means of escort for campus community members who must move about the campus after normal working hours.

There are 84 emergency call boxes located throughout the campus. When the receiver is picked up, a dispatcher comes on the line to offer assistance. The call boxes are easily identified by large red and white colored emergency phone signs.

Crime Prevention Programs: Lectures and demonstrations can be scheduled with the University Police and Security's Police Officers. Brochures, pamphlets, and other handouts are available in the headquarters lobby.
